 2010 JPEG Events

 JPEG YHA Trip
weekend of 18/19/20th June 2010 in the Cheddar Gorge. 
Details of trip to be confirmed but deposit to be paid to secure YHA
Activities visit to Cheddar Gorge, Go-Karting and trip to the beach
Champions = Dave Kenning & Belinda Beynon
 
JPEG Camp
weekend of 3rd & 4th July – subject to weather 
Location – Steve & Eileen Plummers [big thank you to them]
Possible cricket match on the Sunday after breakfast [Angus to speak to Giles Bee]
 Champion = Angus Bennion [to co-ordinate with lots of help].

Halloween
Sunday 31st October
Location – Vince and Helen O’Regans [Stonehouse Farm]
This event has always been well supported and was missed in 2009 so a big thank you to Vince and Helena for getting it back onto the JPEG calendar.
 Champions = Vince & Helena O’Regan.

Craft Fair
Saturday, 6th November
Location – back in the Village Hall   
Format to be the same as previous years as this is a successful event; however, it was noted that the work load on those involved in pulling this together is very high due to the nature of the activities so it was agreed that the number of activities may be a little reduced and we would look at the feasibility of outsourcing some of the crafts.

NEW YEARS EVE MASKED BALL

With the re-opening of the Memorial Hall we were able to hold a successful New Years Eve Family Party-  attended by among others Bat Man, Robin and The Incredibles. The pictures will be on the site shortly.

Thanks Angus for organising and DJ Vince for guest appearance.

MAGIC SHOW

The Magic Show was a great success with over 160 people attending.  We were please to be able to raise money from the sale of refreshments towards Harrys Watson's chosen charity Dogs For The Disabled. Our thoughts continue to be with Peter and Sharan at this difficult time.

Thanks to all who attended and to Belinda and Sarah for selling the tickets, mulled wine, mince pies and to all who helped setup and clear down.

PHS SUPPORT

JPEG would like to thank Packington Horticultural Society for their generous support of £150 towards JPEG events.  We are always pleased to support PHS and look forward to discussing new ideas with them for the children's classes.

CRAFT DAY

JPEG helps organise family events for our community.  We are a not for profit group but obviously have ongoing costs.  To help us cover these costs and support loss making events we organised a Christmas craft day for the children.  It was once again a sell out and, although we keep the costs low for all items made, through a raffle, sale of hot dogs, soups etc we raised £500 for our annual funds.

Thanks to Alison, Jackie, Belinda, Mandy, Rachel, Helen, Sarah,Sara, Anna, Naseam, Ishbell, Vince, Helena, John, Bob, Angus etc etc
