Archeological Finds in Packington and ducklings spotted on Brook

SUMMER IS COMING!
On Thursday 8th May, on the way to vote, many people possibly saw the 15 or 16 ducklings swimming around on the river near to the school. The strange thing is, all the ducklings were brown bar one with was bright yellow a clear favorite for must people i believe! Whilst swimming along maybe they had the intention to vote-their vote could've swung parliament and stopped it being hung!

ARCHEOLOGICAL FINDS IN PACKINGTON  Perhaps a Packington Hoard?
Now, we’ve all heard of the Staffordshire Hoard but is there a Packington hoard out there?
During the work in our garden on Mill Street we found some bits of clay pipes and a trade token from 1788. What have you found? Maybe you could write in and tell me.

Sarah at the Mill, has found a musket ball, a George II Farthing as well as an old Daddies Sauce Bottle.
On land at the back of Babelake Street  a pewter spoon, 5 old pennies and half pennies, musket lead ball, Cartridge end, metal button and what is believed to be a ramrod end for priming a musket or pistol have been found. Although the coins are badly corroded we are trying to identify from their size and weight.
If you have any interesting items found in the area please let me know so that we can build up a picture of the area.
