Another change aims to prevent Over-development of our neighbourhoods and "Garden-grabbing".

Abolition of The Regional Spatial Strategy
Local Government Secretary Eric Pickles has revoked Regional Spatial Strategies. As such, they no longer form part of the Local Development Plan.
New ways for Local Authorities to address strategic planning and infrastructure issues based on cooperation will be introduced through the Government's Localism Bill. Further information can be found on the CLG website by clicking here.
